 Publisher’s Note:The Wakulla Rotary Distinguished
Citizen for 2009 is Kay Floyd. Each
year the Wakulla Rotary Club recognizes
a citizen of outstanding character
and dedication that has served the people
of Wakulla County. If anyone ever
deserved such recognition, it would be
Kay Floyd. She is a teacher extraordinaire:
a forty-one year veteran teacher
in Wakulla Schools. Parents and grandparents
can recall cherished moments
at Sopchoppy Elementary School, and
later Medart Elementary School, as
Mrs. Floyd taught letters of the week
with gusto. Moreover she is a dear and
faithful friend to all who know her and
whose lives she has touched.
